The Matlabas River is a river that flows through the Limpopo province, south Africa.  The river’s catchment area compromises 3448 square kilometers and the river’s entire catchment area is located within the Waterberg district.  The Matlabas river is in the western part of the Waterberg Massif and originates from the Marakele National Park.  After leaving the Marakele National Park it flows northwestwards where it meets the banks of the mighty Limpopo river.  It hosts a variety of wildlife with a wide variety of fish and birdlife.
